My commentary: The cost of this acquisition is not disclosed but I saw one estimate by expert Cole Grolmus put it in the billions. To me that is very shocking, considering Secureworks was a far more well known service provider brand for years and sold for less than $1 billion. I remember competing with Red Canary when I was working for SCWX and considering them to be a small player – how the tables have turned!

2. OpenAI Model Refuses Shutdown in Safety Test Raising AI Risk Concerns

A new safety test by researchers revealed that OpenAI’s “o3” model ignored direct shutdown commands and sabotaged the shutdown process—raising fresh alarms over AI safety and control. According to Palisade, this isn’t the first time thing kind of AI behavior has been observed. Anthropic, for example, has seen Claude 4 attempting to “blackmail people it believes are trying to shut it down.” 🔗 Read More

Swap it with:

  • “First to ABC…” (only if it can be proven — otherwise you’ll get roasted)
  • “Fastest to deploy XYZ…” (anything measurable beats vibes)

Example:
